Adventurous Dates
(for Ages 22-24)
Catch your own worms and use them early in the morning to catch fish at your favorite lake or stream. Offer to bait your date's hook.
Go trap shooting.
Choose a subject, serious or silly, and survey the public for their opinions. Then report your findings to the local newspaper or save the information for a school assignment.
Get your group together and go to a park or open field. Everyone in the group needs to wear a white T-shirt and be armed with a squirt gun (not a "Super Soaker"). But instead of water, these guns will be filled with either red or blue dye (food coloring can usually do the trick)! The object of the game is to shoot the other team's players before they shoot you. However, a team member cannot "die" unless he or she has the other teams dye on the front and back of their shirts (the person is then out). The team with the last person alive wins. For a rematch, simply trade guns to play again.
Rent a pair of roller blades together and spend the day at it. If you have never roller bladed before, make sure the first date includes a lesson on how to stop!
Go on a hot-air balloon ride. Hot-air balloon facilities and operators can be found all over the country. Depending on the time of day you go, plan a picnic, light breakfast or dinner (you may want to have enough for the operator too). Don't forget to take some pictures of the breathtaking views.
Gather 26 different objects (starting with different letters A-Z) on a road rally, but no more than 2 items per stop. Throw in a couple of mandatory stops (clues must be solved to find those places).
Go skydiving. First time skydivers can do a tandem jump with an experienced instructor.
Go mountain climbing, but be sure you have the necessary gear to ensure a safe date.
Get up early one morning and head for the mountains, a lake, the shore, or maybe the sand dunes. Ask your date to bring the ingredients for a delicious breakfast to be cooked over a campfire and pack a picnic lunch.
Take a gondola or ski lift ride at one of the local ski areas. Pack a lunch to take with you, along with snacks.
Go to a travel agency and explain that you are comparison shopping a trip you are planning to take. Ask for an itinerary of things to see. Get estimates for airfare, lodging, food, and transportation.
Go rock climbing or mountain climbing together. As long as the two of you are within 100 pounds of each other, you may be able to take turns climbing and belaying each other.
Join a scuba diving club on an organized dive.
Have a whipped topping fight. Each person gets one can. Make sure you have grubby clothes.
