(for Ages 22-24) Take a pile of plastic plates and write upon them separately letter by letter spelling: "Will you go to the Prom with me." Add frosting to outside of plates so it looks like a cake and give it to your prospective date. Deliver 20 live goldfish in a fishbowl with a sign that says "will you go to homecoming with me?" and a small poem that says "count the fish, if you can and they will tell you who's your man." Include a list of names, including yours, with numbers next to each name (your name is next to the number 20). Go to the market and buy a bunch of different candy bars and then use what they say on them, taping them to a poster to ask someone on a date or to a dance. Here's an example: Hey there [big hunk] [look]'s like your my [lifesaver]. I think you and I should [Mamba] all night at Sader(the dance). If you want to make a lasting impression, use an aerial letter banner; everyone who sees it will remember...especially that special someone. If you're good with words, try altering the stanzas in a well-known song or poem to fit the occasion. Print them on a colored sheet of paper and have it delivered. Kidnap a personal item (like a teddy bear or basketball shoes) and leave a ransom note made from cut up newspapers & magazines saying: "Your [whatever] has been kidnapped. If you ever wish to see it again, go to [dance/date] with me or leave $2,500,000.00 in small bills [in a designated area]." Get a bunch of your friends that have a boyfriend or girlfriend and plan an day at the amusement park. Then go up to the girl or guy and say "A bunch of us are going to _________. I was wondering if you wanted to go with us (or me)." There's smaller chance of those awkward silences because there are a bunch of friends. NOTE: This works the best if the person you're asking out knows everyone. Also make sure everyone that goes is coupled (that way you can be together and there are no single friends to mess up your chances). Take your date to a restaurant and prearrange for the waiters to come out and sing their Happy Birthday song with new lyrics asking him/her to prom. Send a formal invitation. Include a reply card for him/her to send back saying whether or not he/she can go. Make sure there is enough time before the event for the reply card to be returned (the formal invitation can be made using the computer). Give your prospective date an unopened bag of flour with a note that says "Look in the flour." The next day, after he/she has searched the bag of flour with no luck, give him/her a rose (or other kind of flower) with a rolled up note in the middle: "Oops! Wrong flower! Will you go out with me anyway?" How to ask a girl to a dance: Put a large bag of flour on her doorstep with this paper: The Recipe for Homecoming 1. First add a pinch of excitement. 2. Mix in some happiness. 3. Sprinkle in a group of smiles. 4. Throw in a bundle of fun. 5. Add a drop of thrills and suspense. 6. Lastly, sift through the flour to find out who is asking you. Do not put your name in the flour. Instead, an hour later drop off a flower with your name in it and a sign that says Whoops! Wrong Flower! The guy that asked me to a dance is really athletic, and especially loves soccer. He had a game that night, and before a game, the team asks girls to wear their soccer jerseys, and he asked me to wear his. That night I wore his jersey to the game, and I watched him play. At the end of his game, he walked across the soccer field with a huge bouquet of my favorite flowers, and a t-shirt that he made that said " ----, will you go to the ------ with me?" And on the back, it said," Please say yes!" Serenade your potential date. Send a bag of popcorn with a note that says "for a popping good time, come with me to __________". Deliver to him/her a softball that has "will you be my catch?" written on it. Also include the time, your name, and place to meet. Leave a tub of melted butter in the askees first class with no note (they will be confused). In their second class, leave a bag of popped popcorn and a note saying "I wanted to butter you up before I popped the question.
