(for Ages 22-24) You will need a big box of the rainbow goldfish crackers, a vegetable tray, and a live goldfish. Spread the crackers in the tray. Put the live goldfish where the dip would normally go, then write the following: "You are the only fish in the sea for me. I want you to go to the dance with me." To ask someone out, buy two different colored balloons and write yes on the first, and no on the second (or yes and yes if you must date him/her). Set them by the door with a note telling him/her you want to go on a date, and if he/she would like to go please hang out the yes balloon. Hang a giant banner all the way across her street that reads: "Will you go to homecoming with me?" Make a small poster with plans for a date and hang it on the outside of his/her window late at night (or ask a roommate or family member to hang it on the bathroom mirror). Send an invitation for a date in pieces over a period of several days. You can write riddles, or send puzzle pieces, or compose a poem or song. Buy a bag of Hershey kisses and take out all the little papers that say kisses, replacing them with little papers that state things you liked about him/her. You can number them, creating a message when put together in order (invitation or a poem). Get a small cake pan and fill it with water. Laminate your message, and when the water is partly frozen, put the it in the middle. When it is frozen, frost it to look like a cake. They will try to eat it and will have to wait for it to melt. :) Get a fortune cookie and take the fortune out of it and put in your own fortune that says will you go to.... with me? The easiest way to get the fortune out is to take tweezers and just pull it out and then put the new one in the same way. Send the following note: Genesis 2:18 reminds us that" It is not good that a man should be alone...." "Would you join me for next week's dance?" Compile different types of candy bars and put them together with words to ask the person. i.e. Would a BIG HUNK SNICKER if I were to ask such a SMARTEE to the dance with me, a BUTTERFINGER? Send a telegram. You can either send the real thing or make your own--and have it delivered by a friend. Better yet, convince a few of your friends to don crazy outfits, and work up a "singing telegram" to be performed on the front steps. Go to your potential date's house with a friend. Have a friend duct tape you to a tree or bush outside your potential date's house with a sign that says "Baby I'm stuck on you". This is a sure fire way of getting that great first date! A fun way to ask someone to a dance is to set up a scavenger hunt. Put one ingredient to a cookie recipe at each clue. At the end, he/she comes back with all of the ingredients and you make cookies together. Fill the room with blue balloons only, and leave a poster that says, "If you want to go to ________, send me a blue balloon, if not, send me the yellow balloon." Make sure you don't leave any yellow balloons! Go out to his/her car while he/she is in class or at work and fill the car with balloons. Include a note or a posterboard, asking him/her out. Make a large message with sidewalk chalk on his/her street. Draw a path and put a word about every 25 feet. Call and ask them to take a walk outside and follow the path. Use your best voice disguise.
