Lunch Dates
(for Ages 16-18)
Rent a boat and have lunch on the lake.
Find a "free lunch". Some stores might offer free hot dog and a drink during a super sale (furniture, car dealers, etc.). Another alternative is to go where samples are given out. And take the opportunity to carry on conversations with those handing out the samples.
Sponsor a Hobo lunch. Everyone brings one can of stew and dresses like a hobo. Put the cans directly in a fire, but make sure to open the lid first (or the can explodes). Or put all of the stew together in a big pot, and cook it over a fire. Eat from the emptied cans with plastic spoons.
Get a big cooler and fill it with bottles of milk and ice. Get a bunch of cereal and take the cooler and the cereal to the mall and just sit on a bench and enjoy your meal and watch the reactions of other people.
Go to a cemetery and take flags and flowers to friends, servicemen, relatives, or graves that have no one to care for them. Afterwards, go for a walk and have a picnic.
Offer to take your date to lunch at the mall. Take a picnic lunch and eat in the food court.
Have a picnic at a round-about (driving circle) , making sure you wave to everyone. Then take a stroll in the forest or park.
Have a picnic at the beach on a nice sunny day. You can also play football or volleyball on the beach.
Go skiing (cross-country or downhill). Pack a lunch and a thermos with hot chocolate.
Kidnap your dates. Blindfold your dates, then drive to the country for lunch (make sure you inform his/her parents beforehand). If you are with another couple, play a game like "Madlibs"
Dress formally, then go to a fast-food restaurant and order kid's meals.
Purchase items for a backyard B-B-Q and ask various neighbors to store items at their homes for pick-up later that evening. When guests arrive, send them out to "trick-or-treat" specific homes for food. Suggest to neighbors that your guests sing a song or demonstrate a talent before turning over the food. Then enjoy your cookout.
Have a pizza delivered with a note attached (directions to a meeting place for lunch).
"Kidnap" your parents, then take them out to lunch.
Have a treasure hunt on bikes. Each clue leads to a spot which has food you gather for a picnic. Make the clues challenging but not impossible. By the time you reach the picnic site you will have gathered all the food you need for the meal. For larger groups, this could be designed as a car rally.
