Romantic Dates
(for Ages 40-49)
Watch the sunset together (best at the lake, ocean, or mountains).
Take a drive to see the trees in spring blossom.
Find a restaurant in a little town about an hour away. Stop every now and then to take pictures of each other (or have someone take a picture of you together). Take romantic pictures, funny pictures, pictures of the scenery. If you time it right, you can get a picture of the sunset. Get the waiter to take your picture together. Then on your next date, after getting the pictures developed, make a collage of your date together.
Take your date dancing on the observation or sun deck of a hotel or apartment complex. Carry a portable stereo or radio.
Walk around a rose garden with many bushes so you can have privacy. It's even more romantic at nighttime when the moon is out.
Take your date out to a State park. Surprise him/her with a favorite home cooked dinner, complete with a red rose and candles. Unblindfold your date just in time to eat dinner while watching the sunset. After dinner, curl up in a blanket with your date, and watch the stars come out.
Lay on a deserted beach and watch shooting stars.
Go to a formal dance. Frame a picture of you and your date, wrap it up, and present it at the conclusion of your date.
Take a walk on the beach. If you live near the ocean or a large lake, taking a walk on the beach or the shoreline at sunset or in the moonlight can be very romantic and peaceful.
Blindfold your date and feed him/her foods of your choice. Be playful. It's fun for the both of you! Be sure to let your date have a chance at this one. Once you've finished, watch a movie by the fire or just cuddle.
Go on a beach and cuddle on a blanket with candles all around, while you stare up at the stars and listen to the waves crash....Magical
Go for a hot air balloon ride. The sights are breathtaking!
Collect memoirs, (cards, notes, napkins, programs, pictures, nametags, etc.) of your experiences together and make a scrapbook.
Throw a prom! Hand your spouse an invitation when he/she leaves the house in the morning with a blindfold and a nice outfit. Give instructions to spruce up, put on the blindfold when he/she gets to the door, then knock. You must look your best, also. Decorate your living room in a prom type style and set out a candle light dinner. Have music playing when he/she enters.
Tour your city (or one near-by). Arrange for a limo to pick you and your date up for that day. End the date with a romantic dinner at a restaurant or a picnic in a remote area, lit only by the limo's lights.
